Project Publisher Enhancements

To make the Web a versatile and interactive medium for browsing VP project, there are several enhancement made to Project Publisher in this version.

In the published web contents, it is easier to open diagrams, sub-diagrams, shapes, files and folders via a shape in an image. The documentation of model element will appear as tooltip when the mouse cursor hovering on the model shape.



Moreover, we can choose to generate with without page header/footer.

Show Documentation

We can check the documentation of a model element simply by hovering the mouse cursor on the model shape.


Access Reference

To access the reference of a model in the published content is similar to that in VP-UML.


To access reference in the published content:

  1. Move the mouse cursor to the model shape, we can see a tiny icons Reference on the bottom left of the model shape.


  2. Click on the icon and there will be a popup list of all reference resources of the model.


  3. Select a reference in the popup list to open it.


Access Sub-diagram

To access sub-diagram in the published content is similar to that in VP-UML.


To access sub-diagram in published content:

  1. Move the mouse cursor on the model shape, we can see a tiny icon Sub-diagram on the bottom right of the model shape.


  2. Click on the icon and there will be a popup list of all the sub-diagrams of the model.


  3. Select a sub-diagram in the popup list to open it.


Generate with/without Page Header/Footer

Before published the project, we can choose to generate with or without the page header/footer.

  1. Open Project Publisher dialog box.


  2. Before clicking OK, click Advanced Options....


  3. In the Project Publisher Options dialog box, select the box of Generate page header and the box of Generate page footer to generate with header/footer, or deselect the box(es) to generate without header/footer.


  4. Click OK to close the Project Publisher Options dialog box.

Here are the differences between generating with header/footer and generating without header/footer.
