Annotating Models With Callout Shapes
Annotation is an extra information, such as comments, notes, explanation, or other type of external mark that describes a model. Sometimes, annotation is an effective way to edit and review work in a work group environment. For instance, you may annotate a model for asking your group mate to confirm your changes.
Designers often need to be able to jot down information which should not be part of the model itself. In this situation, annotation helps.

Belows we will demonstrate how to annotate model in a Business Process Diagram with a callout shape, the visual representation of annotation.
Creating a Callout Shape
Creating a Callout

Callout button on the diagram toolbar.
Click once on a desired position in the diagram to create a shape of callout, or drag on the diagram to produce a callout shape with desired size.
Enter the content of the annotation. An annotation is created.
Changing the Position of the Callout's Pointer
Select the callout shape and you will see several tiny yellow squares at the pointer.
Drag the yellow square to reshape the pointer.
Release the mouse button to confirm the change. Now the position of the pointer is moved but the shape of the callout shape remains unchanged.
Moving a Callout Shape
Moving the Whole Shape

Release the mouse button to confirm the change.
Moving without Disturbing the Pointer Position

Press on the crosshair and drag the shape to a desired position.
Release the mouse button. Now the callout shape is moved but the pointer position remains unchanged.
