Business Use Case Support

Business use case is used for representing observable business goals in a business. Visual Paradigm supports business use case modeling. Business use case diagrams can be drawn to represent business processes, with the help of business actors and business use cases.

Creating a Business Use Case

In order to create a business use case, an “ordinary” use case must be created first.

  1. Select Use Case from the diagram toolbar.

  2. Click once on the diagram to create an instance(a shape) of use case.

  3. Enter its name.

  4. Right-click on the use case and select Open Specification from the pop-up menu.

This shows the Use Case specification dialog box.
  5. Check Business Model at the bottom of the dialog.

  6. Click OK to close the dialog. This converts the use case to a business use case.
