Project Publisher enhancment

In VP Suite 2.2 Service Pack 2, several enhancements are made to the Web content published by the Project Publisher. The enhancements are aimed to provide an easier way to locate models on a diagram (image), and to enrich the content of Entity Relationship Diagram page.

Jump to model/shape in published project

When reading a large diagram, it is always a panic to locate the model you wanted. With this enhancement, you can jump to any model on the diagram easily. By selecting the desired model, you will be bought to the model you wanted. Here are the steps involved:

  1. Open a diagram page. You will see an image on the page. On top of that image, there is a drop-down menu that lists all the models on that diagram.


  2. Select a model from the list.


  3. You will be brought to the model you selected. The target model will be surrounded with a red box, with two accessibility buttons on top of the red box.


Here are the functions of the accessibility buttons:

Icon Function
Jump to the start of page.
Open the content page of the chosen model.

Navigate to the associated class/entity for O/R mapping

The Entity and (ORM Persistable) Class content page will show the link to the associated Class Model and Table Model respectively.

New columns for Entity table

Two more columns, PK/FK and nullable are added to the Entity table on the Entity Relationship Diagram page. In particularly, FK is linked to the associated Entity on the same page.
