Duplicating Shape and Model

Besides standard copy and paste, Visual Paradigm’s visual modeling added the duplicate facility so you can duplicate a shape or model in just one step.

• Right-click on a shape in diagram and select Duplicate from the popup menu.

• Select a shape in diagram and press Ctrl + E.

Using either the popup menu or keyboard shortcut, a shape will be duplicated from the original one.

Some model elements, like attributes and operations of class, or columns of ERD entity, do not have shapes, but they can also be duplicated using similar methods.

1. Select the attribute/operation/column in the diagram.
2. Right-click on it and select Duplicate from the popup menu, or simply press the hotkey Ctrl + E.
   
   
   
3. The selected model element will be duplicated.
