Scrolling to connected shape

Editing complex diagrams has always been a headache to serious software/business process modelers, especially for those with lots of connections that span multiple screens. It is hard to see where a connector comes from and where it goes to unless you scroll the diagram manually. The “scroll to” feature is therefore introduced in Visual Paradigm’s diagram editing to relieve your headache.

Animated Demo

Using "Scroll to"

  1. Right-click on a connector at a position that close to the connector’s end, there will be a Scroll to “<opposite_end_shape>” menu that allows you to scroll to the opposite end of the connector.

  2. If you are at a position that is far away from both ends of the connector, you can right-click on the connector to scroll to either the source or destination end of it.

  3. Using either methods, you can see the diagram scrolls continuously in the direction of the connector towards the selected connector end.

  4. The scrolling will stop when it reaches the target, or you may interrupt the scrolling by clicking on the diagram, or press any key.
