Running Teamwork Server on Linux without X Window

The following steps show how to install and configure the Teamwork Server on Linux without X-Window system:

  1. Download the No Install version of the Teamwork Server and unzip it to your Linux.

    Note: You can download the Teamwork Server at
    http://www.visual-paradigm.com/download/download.jsp?product=vpts


  2. Download the Window platform Teamwork Server. (either installer or no install version)
  3. Install the Teamwork Server on Windows, and configure the users and projects using the configuration UI.


  4. Copy the following items from the Windows Teamwork Server to your Linux Teamwork Server.
    • repository directory
    • repository.config file
    • teamwork server license key (”.zvpl” file inside the bin directory)
  5. Modify the repository.config file and pointing it to the repository directory in Linux.


  6. Shutdown the firewall on Linux. (if any)
  7. Start the Teamwork Server by executing the StartTeamworkServer inside the bin directory.


    Note: If you want to modify any settings, please do it on the Windows version and replace it to the %repository%/config directory on your linux Teamwork Server.
