Forcing VP-UML to Run with Metal Look and Feel

The following outlines the steps required to set the look and feel of VP-UML by changing the configuration file manually.

1. Close VP-UML is if is opened
2. Open the file ${vp-workspace-folder}/.vpprefdata/.vp.preference
   (e.g. C:/Documents and Settings/Administrator/vpworkspace/.vpprefdata/.vp.preference) in a text editor
3. Find the element JideLookAndFeel
4. Set the value attribute to “4”. After the change, the element will become <JideLookAndFeel value=”4”>
5. Save the file
6. Start VP-UML. This will run the application with Metal Look and Feel
