Problem on Reinstalling Visual Paradigm for UML

When re-installing a product from Visual Paradigm Suite (VP Suite), one of the common problems is that, the suite does not allow you to select the product again for installation.

This problem happens when the previous un-installation was not fully completed. VP Suite will log the installation status of all VP products. Upon finishing the un-installation, record of the uninstalled product will be removed. However, an incomplete un-installation will forbid the installation record to be removed despite some or most of the associated files do removed from the machine.

A direct way to solve the problem is to remove the installation log manually. The log is stored under
%VP_Suite_Installation_Directory%\bin.

Note: Removing the installation log file will result in removing the installation record of ALL products. This might be risky as some products are not allowed for a new installation on top of the existing one. This can adversely affect the stability of the product. Bare in mind its probably wise not to remove the installation log unless really necessary.
