Supporting Curve Connector Style

A connector is the line connecting two shapes on the diagram. VP’s products provide three styles for the connector, including Rectilinear, Oblique and Curve. Applying the curve connector style, the connector is curved accordingly, and you are allowed to change curve shape freely by dragging the connector.

The following diagram shows the result of dragging the break point towards the direction indicated by the red arrow.

Let us take the following Use Case Diagram as an example for applying the curve connector style to the line connecting the actor, Customer Service Assistant and the use case, Handle Goods Return.

Changing Connector Style

To change the connector style:

  1. Select the desired connector.

  2. Right-click on the connector, select Connector Style > Curve from the pop-up mneu.

  3. The connector is curved immediately.

Changing the Curve Shape

To change the shape of the curved connector:

  1. Click any position of the connector, and then drag towards the direction you want.

When you drag the connector, an orange break point shows on the connector which changes the shape of the curve according to your movement.

  2. Release the mouse when you get the desired curve shape. A new break point is created on the connector.

Note: The break points can be removed in one of the two ways:

    • Double-click the break point.
    • Select the desired connector, click the Point Eraser from the diagram toolbar, and then click on the break point to be removed.

Changing Connector Style for All Connectors on Diagram

You can change the connector styles for all connectors on the diagram at once.

To change all connector styles at once:

  1. Right-click on the diagram, select Connector Style > Curve from the pop-up menu.

All the connectors is changed to curved style accordingly.
